During 2020, Bancomext continued to reinforce actions to support companies that provide information technology, communication (including broadband), telecommunications, and broadcasting services, aiming to benefit the entire population.

The following operations stand out in this sector:

A simple line of credit for up to 150 million pesos was authorized to finance a regional telecommunications network in the southeast part of the country. The client is a leading Mexican company in the operation of telecommunications. It has telecommunications infrastructure sharing contracts for the development of the sector throughout the country.

At the end of 2020, this sector reported a portfolio balance of 10,731 million pesos, 6.2% more than the previous year, which amounted to 10,101 million pesos. In addition, in terms of placement, it reported 686 million pesos, revenues of 305 million pesos and 7 benefited companies.
