Institute for Foreign Trade (IFFCE)
The BANCOMEXT PyMEX strategy has among its objectives to position itself as a Mexican brand for exporting and importing business development, generating financing opportunities, training, and technical assistance, directly and through its commercial partners, so that the country's PyMEX become competitive, develop, consolidate and transcend.

In the framework of the strategy, the IFFCE is developed, which aims to provide small and medium enterprises with elements to strengthen their competitiveness in financial matters, so as to be incorporated into international markets, achieve diversification and/or integration into foreign trade value chains. The IFFCE consists of 4 main axes:

  • Information: provides companies with a site for consulting information on financial matters related to foreign trade:
    • Economic analysis
    • Sector information
    • Selected articles on Foreign Trade financial information
    • Links of national and international interest
    • Two eBooks: Factoring and Financial Guide for the Exporter
    • During 2020, 12 newsletters have been sent, sharing PYMEX Ideas on business and foreign trade issues.
  • Personalized Advice: individual attention to entrepreneurs through an institutional stand at events, telephone calls, participation in conferences, etc.
  • Analysis and Diagnostic Tools: specific content focused on financial and credit issues.
  • Training: specialized training in financial matters and foreign trade through e-learning or in person platforms, with 15 financial education capsules and 30 online courses on financial and managerial issues.

The distribution channels of the IFFCE offer are:
The results reported by this institute are as follows:

  • 4,945 new users were registered in www.aulavirtualbancomext.com during 2020.
  • Training and personalized attention have been provided to approximately 1,858 individuals through participation in various events, telephone calls, and links with other organizations such as the Ministry of the Economy of Puebla, SEDECO of Tabasco, Government of Tamaulipas, SE of Aguascalientes, among others.

In conclusion:
The Adjunct General Directorate of Financial Institutions achieved a total balance of 64,021 million pesos through its financial products as of December 2020. In addition, it supported 3,355 small and medium-sized companies, most of them participants in foreign trade, tourism, and generators of foreign currency revenue, thus seeking to comply with Bancomext’s mandate.
