Guarantee Programs

A program that aims to encourage the placement an increased number of credits to companies and, in turn, improve the credit terms and conditions, such as rates and guarantees required for the granting of credits.

At the end of 2020, the promotion of the Guarantee Program allowed to assist 2,689 companies with better conditions, through the Support Program for Exporting and Importing PyMEX and the Tourism Sector Support Program. The balance at the end of 2020 amounted to 19,127 million pesos.

Within the framework of the guarantee program and as part of the measures to support companies due to the COVID-19 emergency, Bancomext, through the Adjunct General Directorate of Financial Institutions, worked on the development of two new sector programs. Both programs were developed considering the entry into force of the Trade Agreement between Mexico, the United States, and Canada (T-MEC) as an impetus for the economic recovery of the region, as well as considering supporting the tourism sector, one of the sectors most affected by the contingency:

‒ IMPULSO T-MEC. At the end of 2020, 2,947 million pesos was granted, supporting 653 companies.

‒ IMPULSO + HOTELS. At the end of 2020, 352 million pesos was granted, supporting 36 companies.
