International Financial Organizations
Bancomext carries out the negotiation and contracting of medium- and long-term, bilateral and multilateral, lines of credit with Export Credit Agencies (ECA's) and other International Financial Organizations (OFI's), as well as funding with international commercial banks and Debt Issues in Mexican and International Markets, following the institutional funding strategy.
These lines support investment projects and sector support programs, such as hotels, automobiles, transportation, industrial plants and Industrial Infrastructure, renewable energy, sustainability, and environmental. Bancomext’s premise has been to provide the business sector with convenient financial conditions for their projects and positioning their business incursions in international markets.
Balances at the end of December 2020 are as follows: Multilateral organizations USD 303.6 million, and bilateral organizations USD 648.5 million.
To this end, in 2020 Bancomext subscribed two new lines of credit as detailed below:
Agreements through "Collaboration Agreements" with banking institutions are pursued, as well as with foreign public organizations, in order to reposition Bancomext in international markets, aiming to promote the flow of foreign investments to Mexico, to finance and/or guarantee projects of interest between the parties, as well as to expand international markets for Mexican export products.
