Public Sector
In order to effectively meet the needs of the Mexican business market, Bancomext undertook, starting in 2009, the reconversion of its focus on the granting of financial support, prioritizing attention to the private sector, and progressively decreasing support to the public sector.

The public sector portfolio balance reported at the end of 2020 amounted to 8,573 million pesos. The performance of the public sector is shown in the following graph:
