Institutional Message
In 2020 Bancomext experienced an unprecedented year. The economic and social context experienced during this year motivated important decisions to be made to preserve the strength of this institution; among which are taking care of the health of the staff and the continuity of our clients.

Restructuring plans and a rescheduling of credits were established, both in national and foreign currency; grace periods for capital payments, as well as the granting of complementary working capital support to the rescheduling of debts. As a result of these decisions, Bancomext reports as of December 2020 a total financing of 277,782 million pesos (MDP) for the benefit of 3,519 companies, of which 87.9% are small and medium distributed in the sectors: tourism (25%), energy (24%), industrial warehouses (18%), transport and logistics (9%), automotive (8%), telecommunications (7%), chemical-pharmaceutical (5%) and others (4%).

The Bancomext authorities authorized the Deputy General Directorate of Business Banking, 139 rescheduling for a total of 288 million dollars (MDD), the credit lines related to said rescheduling amount to 3,309 million dollars, mainly in the tourism and automotive sectors , Transport and logistics.

Additionally, we worked to continue the activity of the institution and that its work is aligned with the priorities of the Government of Mexico, so that our financial procedures were aimed at promoting a balance between the different regions of the country, promoting the southern region- southeast and offer a greater boost to businesses. Everything, doing it responsibly and without causing a disruption in our functions.

The balance of the total loan portfolio as of December 2020 increased 3.4% or 9,163 million pesos compared to December 2019 (includes induced credit). The balance of the portfolio to the private sector represents 98% of the total portfolio. Additionally, the institution reports a net capitalization index (ICAP) of 18.99% and a non-performing portfolio balance of 2.4%.

These results were the product of the continuous work and effort of all the institution's staff who, either in person or remotely (adhering to health recommendations), actively worked continuously to maintain the strength of this bank.

Bancomext strengthened its relationship with the different levels of government, associations, chambers and organizations, developing programs that help Mexican companies and families. This confirmed its place in the financial sector as a solid and self-sufficient institution, which supports with resources the different programs of the Government of Mexico, contributing to the growth and economic development of the country.
