To assign ratings to the Institution, the rating agencies Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch take into account the Institution’s soundness and the endorsement granted by the Federal Government to attain its goal as driving force in the development of Foreign Trade in Mexico. This way, the Federal Government’s backing, represented by the Government’s explicit guarantee included in the Organic Law of Bancomext, means that the Institution receives the same ratings and outlooks on performance as the Federal Government.
