Mission and Vision

Mission

To promote the financing for foreign trade and the generation of currencies in the country, the extension of production capacity of export companies and, given the case, their internationalization, by offering quality service to customers with financing programs, guarantees and other specialized financial services.

Vision

To be the main driver for the development of Foreign Trade, through innovation and quality, with people that are committed and led by shared values.

Goals and Strategies

In the context of the 2019 – 2024 Development Planning, the Bancomext Institutional Program is aimed at contributing to achieve strategic objectives, goals and strategies pointed out for the 2019–2024 PND; the actions established in the Institutional Program are based on the guiding principles defined in the 2019–2024 PND (National Development Plan) and in the 2020–2024 PRONAFIDE (National Program to Finance Development).

The strategy adopted by Bancomext focuses on three broad axes: i) promotion of the country’s industrial development targeting productive sectors, ii) driver for the regional development based on the productive callings of each region, and iii) advance and back the Federal Government’s priority economic projects, and it is in line with the PND’s Axis 3 Economic Development, with regard to the topics of productivity, foreign trade, employment and productive linkage, as well as to the guiding principles that drive said Plan; in particular, the Program is governed by the PND’s principles of “Economy for the wellbeing” [Economía para el bienestar], “No to wealthy government with poor people” [No al gobierno rico con pueblo pobre] and “No leaving anyone behind, no leaving anyone out” [No dejar a nadie atrás, no dejar a nadie fuera].

In addition, the Institution’s actions are aligned with Goal 6 of the PRONAFIDE project, its strategies and lines of action.

Bancomext approved its 2020-2024 Institutional Program in its Governing Board meeting on September 2nd 2020, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on August 31st 2021, based on and in line with the prospects contained in the 2019-2024 PND and in the 2020-2024 PRONAFIDE.
