Environmental and Social Risk Management System (SARAS)
In 2017, Bancomext develops and launches the Environmental and Social Risk Management System (SARAS), which allows the support of projects that aim to or that incorporate the use of green energies in their development. This is part of the commitment to consolidate as a Green Bank and increase the positive footprint of the institution in the healthy development of the Mexican economy.
SARAS initiates operationally in a normative manner in September 2017 and establishes a comprehensive management framework that includes policies, procedures, tools and internal promotion actions and training to identify, supervise and manage the exposure the bank may have regarding potential environmental and social impacts within the credit process.

Some of our 2017 activities were Bancomext woman, a woman who empowers, economic fundraising for school supplies and backpacks, reforestation day, a collection of food for September 7 earthquake victims, blood donation to children at National Institute of Pediatrics, permanent PET containers sorting campaign, among others.
The activities were carried out also taking into consideration the interests of colleagues, Bancomext mission and the new strategies of the Environmental and Social Risk Management System (SARAS). All this, throughout the year, resulted in:
